Yashwi Jaiswal’s double century puts Westerners in a strong position, know the status of the Duleep Trophy final: In the final match of the Duleep Trophy, West Bengal performed brilliantly in the second innings. At the end of the third day’s play, Western Region scored 376 runs with the loss of 3 wickets. The western team now has a strong lead of 319 runs. Currently, Yasswi Jaiswal is unbeaten on 209 and Sarfaraz Khan on 30 runs.
The southern team was bowled out for 327 runs in the first innings. On the basis of the first innings, Southern region got a lead of 57 runs. Jaydev Unadkat bowled brilliantly for West Zone and took 4 wickets. Apart from him, Atit Seth also took 3 wickets. Chintan Ghaza 2 and Tanush Kotian got a wicket.

In reply, West Zone put on a brilliant batting display. Opener Yasaswi Jaiswal and Priyank Panchal made a great century partnership for the first wicket. Panchal was playing well but could not take the innings forward and was dismissed for a personal 40 runs. Ajinkya Rahane flopped again and was dismissed for 15 runs.
Yasswi Jaiswal scored a century in a superb performance and also shared a century partnership with Shreyas Iyer. Iyer also played an important innings of 71 runs. Yasswi Jaiswal batted quickly from one end. He scored the second double century of this tournament. He came to the crease at the end of the day’s play after scoring 209 runs with 23 fours and 3 sixes. After scoring 30 runs, Sarfraz Khan also stood with him. Western region scored 376 runs losing 3 wickets till stumps. Sai Kishore took 2 wickets for South Zone.
