Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia reviewed the beautification works of 50 lakes in the capital : Manish Sisodia also reviewed the progress of Sanoth Lake at Bawana in North West Delhi. According to him, as part of the mission to make Delhi a ‘City of Lakes’, he took stock of the Sanoth Lake restoration and beautification work.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said the city will soon become a lake city, which will boost tourism. Elaborating on Kejriwal’s announcement, Manish Sisodia said the government is reviving 50 lakes in the capital.

In this sequence, Sisodia also reviewed the works of Sanoth Lake located in Bawana in North West Delhi. As part of his mission to make Delhi a ‘City of Lakes’, he oversaw the restoration and beautification of Sanoth Lake. Drought with millions of liters of purified water every day, Sanoth Lake is becoming one of the most beautiful picnic spots in Delhi.

According to him, this project will also solve the problem of water scarcity in Delhi. Besides restoring 50 such lakes, we are also recharging ground water. This will not increase water scarcity in Delhi.
